I bought Clairol hair color and it worked well. The coverage was not perfect. But it was close enough for me. It cost a lot less than going to a salon. I would use it again.

I got the shipping updates too, so I wasn’t just wondering where it went. I was surprised by how this smelled?? Most hair dyes make my eyes water right away, but this one was way milder and actually kind of pleasant. It didn’t leave that heavy chemical cloud hanging around the bathroom, which was such a relief.
I still cracked a window just to be safe, because why not?? But the fumes really weren’t bad at all. It made coloring my hair feel a lot easier and less annoying. Definitely 5 stars from me.

I used this last night after dinner, kind of expecting my hair to feel dry like it usually does after coloring, but it was surprisingly soft. I even kept touching the ends while I was watching TV because they didn’t feel straw-like at all. The color came out really even too, which was a relief since I was doing it in my bathroom with not-great lighting.

I have a sensitive scalp, so I was a little nervous trying this, but it was totally fine. No itching or redness or anything like that, which was a nice suprise.

I like that Clairol has so many shades to choose from, way more than just the basic browns. I did get a little confused trying to tell some of them apart, but I ended up finding one that’s really close to my natural color and another one I’d use when I feel like switching things up.

I’ve been using the Clairol subscription for a few months now, i’m happy with it. I’m a little biased because I’ve used Clairol for years and already knew I liked the shade, but having it show up on schedule without me having to think about reordering has been really convenient.
The only thing that keeps it from being perfect for me is that changing the delivery date wasn’t as obvious as I expected. I figured it out, and it wasn’t a huge problem, but it took a bit more clicking around than I’d like. Still a good subscription overall.

I was not in the mood to deal with a return, but this ended up being super easy. The refund came through quickly too, which was a nice little mood boost

I messaged customer service expecting it to turn into one of those back-and-forth things that takes way too much effort, but they actually got back to me fast. The person was nice, answered my question clearly, and didn’t make me jump through a bunch of hoops.

It made the whole situation a lot less stressful. I still wish choosing a shade wasn’t such a guessing game, but I really appreciated that they responded quickly and helped me out.
